Dreamer, awake!
Wildest Dreams began, literally, as a dream I had one stormy August night. The next morning, I awoke with the movie playing in my head and I knew it was a gift and I had to make it.
Manuel's alter ego
In Fedora, the hero's name is Julio Esperanza ("Esperanza" means "hope" in Spanish), but the character is based upon Manuel Garcia, a waste disposal worker from Milwaukee, MN, whose picture was in People magazine, surrounded by his friends, family, and the boys on the baseball team he coached. We can't give away the secret of why that photo was so special, but it became a powerful, touching movie.

Me & Julio . . .
. . . down by the school yard, right? Well, that's the feature film I've written that expands upon Fedora's touching story. It takes place in a small town, where a large ravine separates the haves from the have-nots. It takes a boy with cancer to bring the town together.

Fedora:
When Julio Esperanza (Shawn Nottingham) discovers he has cancer, he resolves to face it alone, shutting out his family and friends and the boys on the baseball team he coaches. But they have other ideas, and come up with a funny and touching way to let Julio know he's not alone. Beautiful, funny, and moving, this award-winning film will delight the entire family.

Wildest Dreams: Randy Sloan (Alan Ririe-Stark), is having a terrible day. A gifted young composer, he's struggling to write a hit for his idol, fading rock star Russ Calvin, but he's blocked by nightmares in which he's pursued by a mysterious Man in Black, who's trying to rub out both Rand and his song. Then Randy discovers who his pursuer really is -- and receives the shock of his life.
