Description
On his way home from Bethlehem, one of the magi
has an angelic visitor, who instructs him to return
to Jerusalem and help the holy family escape King Herod's
murderous infanticide plot. He takes them to Egypt where Joseph works
for five years as a
carpenter in Alexandria before returning to Galilee.
Now, many years later, the old magi once again
undertakes the journey to Palestine, this time to see the King
of Jews: the Christ child grown up. He arrives during Passover
and first lays eyes on Jesus from the foot of the cross.
